What Dermablend Loose Setting Powder is

Dermablend Professional is a L'Oreal brand known for high-coverage foundation, concealer and body makeup used on tattoos, vitiligo, rosacea and scars. Its Loose Setting Powder is the step that goes on top of that makeup to hold it in place.

According to the official product page, the brand says the powder:

• locks in foundation and concealer with up to 16 hours of smudge- and transfer-resistant wear,
• is non-comedogenic, oil-free and fragrance-free,
• gives a matte finish and is designed not to cause flashback in photos.

Those are the brand's claims. Wear time depends on skin type, the base underneath and the climate, so treat 16 hours as an upper figure. Product tags on the site list acne-prone skin, acne scars, visible pores and vitiligo among the concerns it is meant for.

Shades and sizes

The full-size jar holds 1.0 oz, as listed on Ulta's product page. It comes in three shades:

• Original. The translucent shade, meant to set makeup without adding color.
• Cool Beige. For cooler or pink undertones.
• Warm Saffron. For warmer or golden undertones.

A travel size is sold in one version. Dermablend also sells a separate Illuminating Banana Powder at $33 for anyone who wants a brightening yellow tint rather than a clear set.

The list price is the same at both stores. The difference shows up in the repeat-delivery plans and the shipping threshold. Dermablend charges a $7 flat rate for standard shipping on one-time orders under $75, which can wipe out any saving on a single jar.

How Dermablend Subscribe and Save works

The product page offers a Subscribe and Save option next to the one-time purchase. The terms shown at checkout in October 2026:

• 15% off each subscription order, which makes the full jar $28.05 and the travel size $11.05.
• Delivery every month, or every 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 months.
• Free shipping on US subscription orders of $35 or more.
• The brand states you can cancel anytime.

A single jar at $28.05 falls under the $35 free shipping line, so pairing the powder with a second product on the same subscription is the way to avoid a shipping charge. Pick a frequency you will actually use. How long a jar lasts depends on how much you use, so start with a longer gap and shorten it if you run out first.

Buying at Ulta instead

Ulta lists the powder at $33 and the travel size at $13, marked online only. Its Replenish and Save option showed the full size at $31.35, about 5% less than list, with a free gift offer on Replenish and Save orders at the time of checking.

• Shipping. Free on orders of $75 or more. Otherwise standard shipping is $7 (3 to 5 business days) and USPS Priority is $10. Orders ship by USPS and UPS to US addresses.
• Returns. Call customer service at 1-800-662-8011 within 30 days of purchase for a full refund to the original payment method, per the refund policy.
• Limits. Each order can include up to 5 units per product and up to $500 in total.
