Zinus platform beds in 2026: prices by size and when Zinus discounts them

What happened to the Zinus Tuscan platform bed

The Zinus Tuscan Metal and Wood Platform Bed was a 14-inch metal frame with a wood-panel headboard, sold mainly on Amazon under model number HBPBB-14T. The last listing data PickedBox has on file gave the twin an assembled height of 41 inches and a weight of 49.9 pounds.

At the time of checking (Oct 18, 2026), the bed is not sold on zinus.com: a site search for "Tuscan" returns no results. The Amazon product page the old post pointed to now returns a "page not found" error. Treat the Tuscan as discontinued. A listing that still uses the name is likely old stock or a reseller, so check the seller and the return terms before buying.

The closest current Zinus designs are the Suzanne Metal and Wood Platform Bed Frame with Footboard, which pairs a steel frame with a wood headboard, and the Suzanne Metal and Bamboo frame. Both appear in the price table below.

Zinus platform bed prices by size

These are the prices listed on zinus.com in the platform bed and sale collections on Oct 18, 2026. Where Zinus shows a higher crossed-out price, it is given in brackets. "Sold out" means that size was listed as unavailable in every color at the time of checking.

A queen metal frame from Zinus costs roughly $300 to $370 on its own site in October 2026, while solid wood frames sit at $600 to $900. Zinus also sells through Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair, and those prices move often. Compare the same model and size on Amazon and Wayfair before ordering.

What to check before picking a frame

• Height. A 14-inch frame leaves room for under-bed storage. The Suzanne bamboo frame comes in 7-inch and 14-inch versions, and the prices differ.
• Headboard. The Tuscan's main draw was its headboard. On the Suzanne with footboard, Zinus states 30 inches from the top of the frame to the top of the headboard in all sizes.
• Support. Platform frames use slats or a metal grid instead of a box spring. Check the listed slat spacing against your mattress maker's warranty terms.
• Assembly. The Suzanne product page says setup takes under an hour with the included tools.
• Warranty. The Suzanne page lists a 5-year warranty. Check each product page, since terms vary by model.

When Zinus discounts platform beds

Zinus does not publish a sale calendar. Based on the sales recorded on the PickedBox store page, these are the main windows:

• Presidents Day, mid-February. A sleep sale with tiered discounts on mattresses and guest room furniture.
• Late August to September. End-of-summer clearance on outdoor items and bedroom accessories.
• Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Deal trackers recorded discounts of up to 50% on best-selling memory foam mattresses and platform bed frames.

Outside these windows, a few frames carry markdowns most of the time. In October 2026 the Linda, Mia and Suzanne with footboard all showed reduced prices on zinus.com. If you can wait, late November is the most likely time for deeper cuts on frames.

How to pay less on a Zinus bed frame

The Zinus coupon page on PickedBox lists one active code in October 2026. It takes 20% off but needs a cart of $1,000 or more, so it rarely helps on a single frame. Other ways to save:

• Shipping is free on every item to the 48 contiguous states and DC, so the listed price is close to what you pay before tax. Zinus does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or US territories.
• ID.me discount. Military members and students who verify through ID.me get a discount on zinus.com. Zinus does not publish the rate.
• Bundle with a mattress. Buying a mattress and frame together can push a cart near the $1,000 code threshold.
• Affirm financing spreads payment over 3, 6 or 12 months, with APR from 0% for qualified buyers. It does not lower the price.
• HSA and FSA funds through Truemed apply to eligible mattresses only, not bed frames.
• Check other stores. See the Amazon and Wayfair pages on PickedBox for their current offers on Zinus frames.

Zinus returns, and the SmartBase recall

The Zinus refund policy gives bed frames, bases, toppers and furniture a 30-day return window from delivery. Mattresses get a 100-night trial. Items must be in good condition with proof of purchase, and refunds go to the original payment method. These terms cover zinus.com orders. A frame bought on Amazon or Wayfair follows that store's return policy.

If you already own a Zinus metal frame, check one recall. In cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, Zinus recalled certain 14-inch SmartBase Euro Slats bed frames sold between May 2022 and November 2022 at Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Target, Overstock and Home Depot. The assembly kits lacked corner reinforcing brackets, which could let the frame collapse. Model codes are OLB-MESB-T, -F, -Q and -K. Zinus says owners should stop using an affected frame and order the free repair kit on its recall page. The Tuscan was a different model and is not named in the recall.

How we checked this

On Oct 18, 2026, PickedBox read the platform bed and sale collections on zinus.com, a site search for the Tuscan bed, the Suzanne with footboard product page, the refund policy, the shipping policy, the ID.me and financing pages and the SmartBase Euro Slats recall page. The Amazon product page from the old post was also checked and returned an error. Sale windows come from the PickedBox Zinus store page, which draws on deal tracker records. No bed was bought or assembled for this article.
