Fuugu dishwasher cleaner: what it is, price and cheaper alternatives

Is Fuugu dishwasher cleaner still sold?

Not on its own website. At the time of checking (Oct 18, 2026), fuugu.com sells one product, a foaming toilet bowl cleaner in pre-measured weekly bags. Addresses that used to point to the dishwasher tablets now redirect to that toilet cleaner page, and the site's menus no longer list a dishwasher product.

The brand behind it is EcomLT LLC, a direct-to-consumer company that its About Us page describes as developing household gadgets and goods. A Walmart.com search for Fuugu returned no results in October 2026, and Amazon pages could not be loaded during the check, so an Amazon listing could not be confirmed either way.

Some buyers were still reordering the tablets earlier in the year. A Trustpilot review dated June 28, 2026 mentions a repeat order of Fuugu dishwasher tablets. So the product may still turn up through old checkout links or resellers, but there is no official page to buy it from.

What the Fuugu tablets were

Fuugu sold a cleaning tablet for the inside of the dishwasher, not a detergent for dishes. Coverage of the product, much of it sponsored, repeated the maker's description: drop one tablet in the detergent tray of an empty dishwasher and run a normal cycle, about once a month. The maker said the tablets target grease, food residue, odors and limescale in the tub, filter and spray arms, and that the ingredients were biodegradable.

None of those claims were backed by published lab results that PickedBox could find. An older version of this page said each tablet lasted for many uses. That claim is not supported by any Fuugu material, which described one tablet per cleaning cycle.

What Fuugu cost when it was on sale

Fuugu never published a fixed list price. The site sold through a checkout page with multi-pack bundles and a running discount banner, which on the current toilet cleaner page reads up to 70% off. Prices for the dishwasher tablets survive only in press coverage, and the figures disagree:

• The Whidbey News-Times listed a single pack of six tablets at $18.95.
• The Langley Advance Times listed a single pack at $19.59 and multi-pack prices of about $15 to $17 per pack, plus $5.40 shipping.

Neither article is dated clearly, and both read as sponsored content. Taken together, a six-tablet pack cost roughly $16 to $20, or about $3 per monthly cleaning before shipping. Trustpilot reviewers in March and August 2026 also complained about repeated upsell offers before the order was finished, so check the cart total line by line if you buy any Fuugu product.

Fuugu returns and refunds

The Fuugu return policy in October 2026 allows returns within 60 days of delivery, including change-of-mind returns. The steps:

1. Fill in the contact form within 60 days with your name, email and order number.
2. Customer support replies within 3 business days and, if the return qualifies, sends a return form with an RMA number and address.
3. Ship the item back with tracking. Unused items must be in original, undamaged packaging.
4. After inspection, Fuugu says it issues the refund within 14 days to the original payment method.

Shipping costs are not refunded, and return postage is on you. The policy covers only orders placed on Fuugu's own site. Anything bought from another seller follows that seller's rules.

Affresh, Finish and Lemi Shine: prices in October 2026

Dishwasher cleaners from long-established brands are easy to find in stores. These prices were seen on Walmart.com on Oct 18, 2026 and can change by seller and day.

Affresh is a Whirlpool brand, and its tablets go in the detergent dispenser for a normal cycle in an empty machine, much like Fuugu's. Finish's bottle works differently: retailer listings for the US product say to remove the sticker, stand the bottle upside down in the bottom rack and run the empty dishwasher on its hottest cycle, about once a month. Follow the label on whatever you buy, and check your dishwasher manual, since many makers also ask you to rinse the filter regularly.

Where dishwasher cleaners cost less

For the brands above, Walmart and Amazon are usually the cheapest places to buy, and both sell larger packs that bring the per-use cost down.

• Walmart: search Affresh dishwasher cleaner or Finish dishwasher cleaner. Third-party sellers list the same Affresh 6-pack at $16 to $21, so pick the listing sold by Walmart. Current codes are on the Walmart coupon page.
• Amazon: search dishwasher cleaner tablets. Subscribe and Save can lower the price on repeat orders of a monthly product like this. Codes are on the Amazon coupon page.

A larger pack is the simplest saving. Twelve Affresh tablets, sold on affresh.com and at retailers, cover a year of monthly cleanings.

Who should still look for Fuugu

If you already have Fuugu tablets at home, they can be used up as the label directs. If you liked them and want more, there is no official way to reorder in October 2026, and a reseller listing may be old stock with no return path through Fuugu. For most shoppers, a store-brand dishwasher cleaner tablet does the same monthly job at about half the per-use cost, and it can be returned through the store that sold it.

How we checked this

On Oct 18, 2026, PickedBox loaded fuugu.com and its return policy and About Us pages, tried the old dishwasher tablet addresses (they redirect to the toilet cleaner page), read Fuugu's Trustpilot page and searched Walmart.com for Fuugu, Affresh, Finish and Lemi Shine. Amazon pages could not be loaded, and the affresh.com product page blocked automated access. Old Fuugu prices come from sponsored press articles, not from Fuugu.
