Razer Cynosa in 2026: price, the V2 and Razer sale dates
Razer no longer sells the Cynosa Chroma or the Cynosa V2 on its US store: in October 2026 the Cynosa V2 address sends shoppers to the general keyboard page. Both launched at about $60, and the closest current Razer membrane keyboards are the Ornata V3 X at $39.99 and the Ornata V3 from $69.99.

Can you still buy a Razer Cynosa from Razer?
Not from razer.com in the US at the time of checking. On Oct 18, 2026, the old Cynosa V2 address on razer.com loaded the general gaming keyboards page instead of a product page, and a direct link to the US Cynosa V2 part number returned a 404 error. The original Cynosa Chroma address did the same. No Cynosa model appeared in the keyboard listing data on that page.
Razer has not published an end-of-sale notice that PickedBox could find. Retailers outside the US, including PC Case Gear in Australia, mark the Cynosa V2 as discontinued. Some marketplace sellers still list new or used units, so the name keeps showing up in search results long after Razer moved on.
Cynosa Chroma, Cynosa Chroma Pro and Cynosa V2: what changed
The Cynosa line was Razer's entry-level membrane keyboard, meaning rubber-dome keys rather than mechanical switches. Launch coverage gives this timeline:
- Cynosa Chroma (late 2017): launched at $59.99, according to PC Gamer and KitGuru, with per-key Chroma RGB lighting, a spill-resistant build and programmable keys through Razer's Synapse software.
- Cynosa Chroma Pro (2017): $79.99, the same keyboard with an added underglow light strip, sold only on Razer's website.
- Cynosa V2 (July 2020): also $59.99 at launch, per TechRadar. Razer added dedicated media keys and kept per-key RGB and the spill-resistant design. Spanish outlet Geeknetic reported 1000 Hz polling and N-key rollover.
A cheaper Cynosa Lite with simpler lighting was also sold in some markets. None of the three models is listed on razer.com US now.
The 2020 PickedBox post about the Cynosa Chroma described its lighting software, media shortcuts and a gaming mode that blocks the Windows key. Those features are documented in Razer's launch material. This update makes no claim about how the keys feel, since no keyboard was handled for it.
Razer membrane keyboards on sale in October 2026
Razer's current budget line is the Ornata V3 family. Prices below were shown on razer.com on Oct 18, 2026.
| Keyboard | Price at razer.com | Switch type | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ornata V3 X | $39.99 | Silent membrane | Low profile, wrist rest, spill resistant |
| Ornata V3 | From $69.99 | Mecha-membrane | Clicky feel, media keys, magnetic wrist rest |
| Ornata V3 Tenkeyless | $79.99 | Mecha-membrane | No number pad |
| Cynosa V2 | Not listed | Membrane | $59.99 at launch in 2020 |
The Ornata V3 product page showed "starting from" $69.99, while the keyboard category data on the same day listed Ornata V3 versions at $79.99 to $119.99. The higher figures appear to cover other versions and editions. Check the cart price before paying.
For a shopper who wanted the Cynosa for quiet, soft keys at a low price, the Ornata V3 X is the closest match and costs less than the Cynosa did at launch. The Ornata V3 has a clicky mecha-membrane switch, which Razer describes as a hybrid of membrane and mechanical feel.

Where a Cynosa still turns up
- Best Buy and Amazon: leftover or open-box stock may still appear. PickedBox could not load Best Buy or Amazon results on Oct 18, 2026, so stock and price there are unconfirmed. The PickedBox Best Buy page lists current Best Buy offers.
- Marketplaces: eBay sellers in Europe and elsewhere list the Cynosa V2, often in non-US layouts. Check that the listing says US layout (ANSI) before buying.
- Price check: the keyboard cost $59.99 new at launch. A used Cynosa priced near that figure is poor value next to a new Ornata V3 X at $39.99 with a Razer warranty.
How to pay less at Razer
These points match the PickedBox Razer store page, researched Oct 14, 2026 from Razer's store FAQ and program pages.
- Shipping: standard shipping is free on US orders over $99 and costs $10 below that. An Ornata V3 X on its own falls under the free shipping line.
- Bundles: the Razer bundles page takes 20% off two selected items and 25% off three or more, with no code needed.
- Education discount: verified students, parents and school staff get 15% off peripherals and accessories, which covers keyboards. Some products and bundles are excluded.
- Heroes discount: military members, first responders and medical providers who verify with ID.me get a code for 15% off peripherals.
- Newsletter: signing up and verifying an email address brings a $10 off code with a minimum spend.
- No stacking: Razer says its promotions cannot be combined, so pick the single offer that saves the most.
PickedBox lists two active Razer codes on the store page.
The row below is the same row as on the Razer page. The code appears after the click; Razer opens in a new tab.
Razer sale dates to plan around
Razer's own store has followed a steady calendar, based on the sales recorded on the PickedBox Razer page:
- New Year (January): New Year Specials with $10 off orders over $99 and a gift on larger orders.
- Back to school (August): savings of up to 20%.
- Black Friday (mid to late November): in 2025 Razer ran an early Black Friday sale with peripherals at around 20% off and Blade laptops up to 33% off.
A $39.99 keyboard has little room to drop, so the bigger savings come from pairing it with a mouse or headset in a bundle, or waiting for the November sale. Returns on eligible razer.com orders must start within 14 calendar days of delivery, and a return shipping fee is deducted when the prepaid label is used for a change of mind.
