MedCline reflux pillow in 2026: price, insurance and where to buy
At the time of checking (October 2026), the MedCline Reflux Relief System costs $249.99 in all three sizes on medcline.com, and most HSA and FSA cards can pay for it. Private insurance does not cover it, the VA can, and the 60-day return comes with a 30-day minimum and a $25 fee.

What the MedCline Reflux Relief System is
MedCline is a two-part sleep system made by Amenity Health. A firm bed wedge raises the head and torso, and a full-length body pillow wraps around the front to keep you lying on your side. The wedge has a pocket for the lower arm, so the shoulder you lie on is not pinned under your weight. A cover comes with the set.
The point of the design is position. MedCline says the system holds a left-side, inclined position, which is the posture it recommends for nighttime reflux. A 2023 systematic review in the World Journal of Clinical Cases found that lying on the left side was linked to lower esophageal acid exposure than lying on the right side or on the back. A MedCline study in patients with nighttime heartburn is registered on ClinicalTrials.gov.
MedCline's product page says the design is validated in seven trials. Its return policy describes the system as an FDA-registered Class I medical device, which is a registration category, not an approval of results. A pillow does not replace treatment, and anyone with frequent heartburn should talk to a doctor or gastroenterologist about the cause.
MedCline price in October 2026
On Oct 18, 2026, the MedCline Reflux Relief System page listed every size at the same price. A sitewide 20% promotion banner was running on medcline.com at the same time, so the price at checkout may be lower than the list price.
| Item on medcline.com | Listed price |
|---|---|
| Reflux Relief System, Small (4 ft 10 in to 5 ft 4 in) | $249.99 |
| Reflux Relief System, Medium | $249.99 |
| Reflux Relief System, Large (6 ft and up) | $249.99 |
| Shoulder Relief System | $249.99 |
| Therapeutic Body Pillow alone | $119.00 |
| Pillow cases | From $35 |
| Storage bag | $49.99 |
MedCline also offers Shop Pay Installments, which splits the order into four payments every two weeks. The payment plans page says rates run from 0% to 36% APR depending on an eligibility check, so read the offer before you accept it.
Prices at other sellers seen in search results in October 2026 were higher: one medical supply store listed the system at $325.99, and another listed a bundle with extra cases at $294.49. Those listings were not dated.

Insurance, HSA and FSA
The MedCline FSA and HSA page answers the coverage question directly:
- HSA and FSA: the relief systems are covered by most FSA and HSA plans and can be bought on medcline.com with a plan debit card. MedCline says no extra forms are needed at checkout, but some plans ask for a letter of medical necessity afterward, so check with your plan administrator first.
- Split payment: if the account balance is short, MedCline can split the charge between the HSA or FSA card and a credit card by phone.
- Private insurance: MedCline states its products are not covered by private insurance plans.
- VA: the only insurance coverage MedCline lists is through the Veterans Administration. The VA page offers a product flier to take to a VA doctor to start the process.
Paying with HSA or FSA money does not change the shelf price, but it means paying with pre-tax dollars.
The 60-day return policy, in plain terms
MedCline's refund policy is stricter than a typical mattress trial. The key terms, as written at the time of checking:
- You must keep the system at least 30 days after delivery and work with a MedCline sleep specialist during that time.
- If it still does not help, a return is possible within 60 days of receipt.
- The refund is the price paid minus a $25 return fee. Shipping paid on the original order is not refunded.
- MedCline sends a label to a recycling center, because returned systems cannot be reused.
- The 60-day policy covers the Reflux Relief and Shoulder Relief systems only. A body pillow bought separately, and cases or covers, cannot be returned once opened.
MedCline also lists a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Its warranty terms cover only the original buyer and exclude products bought from an unauthorized third party. Some third-party medical stores mark the system as non-returnable, so buying elsewhere can mean giving up the return window.

Where to buy MedCline and where it costs less
For most buyers, medcline.com is the simplest choice: it had the lowest list price found, it runs sitewide promotions, it takes HSA and FSA cards, and it is the seller the return and warranty terms are written for.
MedCline products also show up on Amazon. PickedBox could not confirm a current Amazon price for the Reflux Relief System in October 2026, so compare the total with medcline.com before you buy. Check that the seller is MedCline or an authorized dealer, since the warranty may not cover a unit from an unauthorized seller. Current Amazon offers are on the Amazon coupon page.
A few practical points: pick the size by your height, because the body pillow length differs. Medium covers the heights between Small and Large. MedCline ships from three fulfillment centers by UPS Ground in the continental US, does not ship to PO boxes and charges extra for Hawaii and Alaska.
Cheaper alternatives to MedCline
The main thing MedCline adds over a plain wedge is the body pillow and arm pocket that keep you on your side. If you only need the incline, a cheaper setup may be enough.
- A plain foam bed wedge: memory foam wedges listed on Amazon and Walmart in 2026 mostly ran about $30 to $60, with deals at $29.99 seen in July 2026. They raise the upper body but do not stop you from rolling onto your back.
- A wedge plus a regular body pillow: a separate body pillow behind your back can help hold a side position at a lower total cost, though without an arm pocket.
- Raising the head of the bed: bed risers under the headboard legs tilt the whole mattress. Ask your doctor whether that fits your case.
Shoppers who sleep on their side with shoulder pain rather than reflux can look at the Shoulder Relief System, which is the same price and uses a shoulder pocket instead.
Who it is for: people with nighttime reflux who keep sliding down a plain wedge or rolling onto their back, and who can use HSA or FSA money. People with mild symptoms or a tight budget may want to try a plain wedge first.
How we checked this
At the time of checking (Oct 18, 2026), PickedBox read the MedCline Reflux Relief System page, the refund policy, the FSA and HSA page, the VA, payment plans, shipping and warranty pages on medcline.com. Research context comes from the ClinicalTrials.gov registry and a 2023 systematic review. Amazon blocked automated checking, so no Amazon price is given; third-party prices come from search results and were not dated. No MedCline product was used for this article.
