What the Purple Harmony pillow is made of

The Harmony is Purple's top-selling pillow. The Purple Harmony product page lists three parts:

• Core: ventilated Talalay latex, which Purple describes as airy and bouncy with medium firmness.
• Grid: a wrap of Purple's Honeycomb GelFlex Grid, made of its Hyper-Elastic Polymer, which Purple says adds cooling and pressure relief.
• Cover: a moisture-wicking stretch knit, 92% nylon and 8% spandex.

The care label says to machine wash the cover cold, separately, and air dry it. The core is spot clean only. The pillow is heavier than a typical fiber pillow, from 4.2 lbs for a standard Low to 7 lbs for a king Tall, which matters for anyone who moves a pillow around a lot at night.

Purple states that the Talalay process removes most of the proteins that cause natural latex allergies. Anyone with a known latex allergy should ask a doctor before buying a latex pillow.

Harmony price by size and height

Purple sells the Harmony in two sizes and three heights. The height does not change the price. Prices on purple.com on Oct 18, 2026:

Older reviews quote $179 to $199 for a standard Harmony, so the pillow costs more now than it did a few years ago. Older posts that mention only Low and Tall heights are also out of date. The Medium height sits between them.

Which height Purple suggests

Purple's height guide on the product page matches height to sleep position and body frame:

• Low (5.5 in): stomach and back sleepers, people with small to medium frames.
• Medium (6.5 in): side or combination sleepers with medium to large frames.
• Tall (7.5 in): side or combination sleepers with large to extra-large frames.

The idea behind the guide is that a side sleeper needs more height to fill the gap between the shoulder and the head, while a stomach sleeper needs less. People with ongoing neck or shoulder pain should get advice from a doctor or physical therapist, since a pillow is not a treatment.

Trial, returns and warranty

The Harmony comes with a 30-night trial, according to the product page. The trial starts on the delivery day, and Purple says it will process a return and issue a full refund within the first 30 nights. The 100-night trial that many Purple ads mention applies to mattresses. Purple's returns page gives pillows, bedding and seat cushions 30 days.

Other terms as of October 2026:

• Shipping: free on Purple pillow orders within the 48 contiguous US states.
• Warranty: 1 year from the date of original purchase, for personal use only. Purple requires original dated proof of purchase and the law tag for a claim, and the warranty ends on any resale.

The warranty rule is worth noting for Amazon or resale buyers: a pillow bought used, or from a seller that is not an authorized retailer, may not be covered.

When Purple discounts the Harmony and how to pay less

At the time of checking, Purple was not discounting a single Harmony pillow on its own. The current savings come from buying two, from bundles or from verified-group discounts. As of October 2026:

• 10th Anniversary Sale, through Nov 2, 2026: buy 2, get 10% off select pillows, which includes the Harmony. Two standard pillows drop from $458 to $412.20. A bundle of SoftStretch sheets and 2 Harmony pillows is 25% off. Purple's sale page says the accessory offer cannot be combined with bundle offers.
• Verified discounts: military members, students, teachers, first responders, healthcare workers and truck drivers can verify for a single-use 10% code.
• Payment options: Purple lists Affirm financing and says its products are FSA and HSA eligible through Truemed, which asks for a short health survey.

Purple.com versus Amazon

The Harmony is also sold on Amazon. Amazon blocked the product page at the time of checking, so its current price could not be confirmed. A third-party sales tracker, ASINsight, logged the standard Medium Harmony at $188 on Amazon in July 2026, below the $229 on purple.com. Amazon prices move often, and the figure may have changed.

Points to check before buying there:

• That the seller is Purple or Amazon, since the warranty needs proof of purchase from the original buyer.
• The return window on the Amazon listing, which follows Amazon's rules rather than Purple's 30-night trial.
• That the listing is the current three-height Harmony, not an older two-height version.

Who the Harmony suits

Going by Purple's description, the Harmony fits sleepers who want a bouncy, medium-firm pillow that keeps its shape, and who are willing to pay more than $200 for it. Those who prefer a soft, squishable pillow, or who want to adjust the fill, may be better served by a shredded foam or down alternative pillow. Purple's own Freeform pillow, at the same $229 and $269, is the adjustable option in its range.
