Prices below were seen on each brand's own site on Oct 18, 2026. Amazon and golf retailers often sell the same carts for less, covered in the last section.

Bag Boy, Sun Mountain and Clicgear are the long-standing push cart brands, and CaddyTek is the most common budget name. All five are aluminum three-wheel carts sold through brand sites and retailers in October 2026.

What happened to the carts on the 2020 list

The 2020 version of this post listed five carts. Their status in October 2026:

• Clicgear Model 3.5+: replaced. Clicgear now sells the Model 4.5 new and still sells parts for the 3.5. Reconditioned Model 4.0 carts were $225 on clicgear.com.
• Bag Boy Quad XL: not listed on bagboy.com. Bag Boy's current four-wheel cart is the Quad Pro at $299.95.
• CaddyTek One-Click Version 3: replaced by newer CaddyTek models. The CaddyCruiser ONE V8 four-wheel cart was $219 on caddytek.com.
• Spin It GCPro II: the maker's site did not load when checked, so current availability was not confirmed. It is not included here.
• Madjax Genesis 150: dropped. It is a seat kit and body part for riding golf cars, not a push cart.

CaddyTek: the budget picks at $149 and $199

CaddyTek CaddyLite 11.5 V3

The CaddyLite 11.5 V3 was $149 on caddytek.com, the lowest price on this list. CaddyTek says it weighs under 13 lbs, rolls on two 11 in rear wheels and an 8 in front wheel with ball bearings, and has a four-position handle, a foot brake and a front-wheel alignment adjustment. It comes with an umbrella holder, drink holder, mesh basket and scorecard holder. The listing gives a 1-year warranty.

CaddyTek CaddyLite EZ V8

The CaddyLite EZ V8 was $199 on caddytek.com. Its main feature is a two-step fold. CaddyTek gives a weight under 18.5 lbs, a folded size of 14.4 x 8.5 x 28.4 in, three EVA foam wheels that do not need air, a cooler basket, a mesh net and a foot brake. It is a frequent Amazon deal: a Slickdeals post in December 2025 listed it at $124.84 on Amazon.

Who they are for: golfers who walk a few times a month and want a light cart that fits a small trunk. The 11.5 V3 is the lightest, and the EZ V8 folds flatter.

Bag Boy Nitron: the fastest to open

The Bag Boy Nitron Auto-Open was $319.95 on bagboy.com on Oct 18, 2026. Bag Boy's patented Nitro-Piston opens the three-wheel frame on its own once the latch is released, so there are no clicks or levers to work through at the car. A Nitron Swivel version with a swiveling front wheel was $359.95.

Bag Boy's other current carts give a sense of its range: the Compact 3, with a folding front wheel for small trunks, at $259.95, the Slimfold at $299.95 and the four-wheel Quad Pro at $299.95. Bag Boy's site says manual push carts ordered on or after May 4, 2026 carry a 2-year warranty, up from 1 year before that date, covering defects but not normal wear on wheels and tires. Rewards members get free shipping on orders over $49.95.

Who it is for: golfers who load and unload a cart several times a week and want setup to take seconds.

Sun Mountain Speed Cart X and Clicgear 4.5: the premium pair

Sun Mountain Speed Cart X

The Speed Cart X was $299.99 on sunmountain.com. Sun Mountain calls it an upgraded version of the Speed Cart V1R, one of the best-known push carts of the last two decades. It has three wheels and weighs 18.6 lbs by Sun Mountain's spec, with a handle that doubles as a rangefinder mount. At the time of checking it was the only push cart sold new on Sun Mountain's US site; the Pathfinder and Micro-Cart names appeared only as spare parts.

Clicgear Model 4.5

The Clicgear Model 4.5 was $339 on clicgear.com. Clicgear lists a new console with a phone holder, storage pads and a 3-ball holder, an adjustable drink holder, an internally routed brake cable, silicone bag straps, a hand brake on the front wheel and a folded size of 13 x 15 x 24 in. It fits most stand bags. Older accessories that screw into the umbrella mount do not fit, because the 4.5 uses a metric thread.

Clicgear doubles its warranty for carts bought direct: 2 years on parts and 6 years on the frame. Its reconditioned carts, a Model 4.0 for $225 or a Model 8.0+ for $265, carry the standard warranty and cost $100 or more less than new.

Who they are for: golfers who walk most rounds and want a sturdier frame and more storage. Clicgear's hand brake and warranty stand out; the Speed Cart X is the lighter-looking, simpler design.

Three wheels or four, and what to measure first

Every cart on this list has three wheels, which is the common layout for walking carts because a single front wheel steers easily. Four-wheel carts such as the Bag Boy Quad Pro and CaddyTek CaddyCruiser ONE V8 stand more steadily when parked on a slope and are easier to push in a straight line, but they are wider when folded.

Points to compare before buying:

• Folded size: measure the trunk. Clicgear's 13 x 15 x 24 in and CaddyTek EZ V8's 14.4 x 8.5 x 28.4 in fold into very different shapes.
• Brake: CaddyTek uses a foot brake, Clicgear a hand brake on the handle. A hand brake helps on hilly courses.
• Bag fit: Clicgear says the 4.5 fits most stand bags. Bag Boy's own Top-Lok bags lock to some Bag Boy carts, while other bags use straps.
• Warranty: 1 year on the CaddyTek 11.5 V3, 2 years on Bag Boy manual carts ordered after May 4, 2026, and 2 years on parts with 6 years on the frame for Clicgear bought direct.

Where to buy a push cart for less

Push carts are discounted most around spring and the end of the golf season. Points from the October 2026 check:

• Check Amazon before the brand site, especially for CaddyTek. The EZ V8 was $124.84 on Amazon in December 2025 against $199 on caddytek.com in October 2026.
• On Amazon, look for a clip-on coupon on the product page and check that the seller is the brand or Amazon. Amazon rarely runs sitewide promo codes.
• Prime members get free shipping on eligible items, which matters for a boxed cart. Prime costs $14.99 a month, Prime for Young Adults $7.49 a month for ages 18-24 and students, and Prime Access $6.99 a month for eligible assistance recipients.
• Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6-7, 2026. Amazon's Black Friday week ran from November 20 to Cyber Monday, December 1, in 2025, and is the next large sale window.
• Most Amazon items can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original or unused condition. Unfold the cart at home first and keep the box until it has been checked.
• For a premium cart, compare Clicgear's reconditioned carts, $225 for a Model 4.0, with discounted new carts. Buying direct also doubles Clicgear's warranty.
