MONQ diffusers in 2026: price, how it works and where to buy. PickedBox guide plate, updated October 17, 2026.

What a MONQ diffuser is

MONQ makes small, pen-shaped personal aromatherapy diffusers. Each one is a sealed, battery-powered device filled with a blend of essential oils in organic vegetable glycerin. A gentle draw warms the blend into a light mist. The MONQ FAQ says the glycerin makes up about 80% of each formula and essential oils the other 20%.

The company was founded in 2014 by physician Eric Fishman and is now based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, according to its FAQ. It states that the devices contain no nicotine, tobacco, THC, propylene glycol or artificial flavoring. MONQ describes the product as an aromatherapy diffuser, not a vape, and says the mist is not meant to go into the lungs.

The range in October 2026 has four parts:

  • Original diffusers: prefilled and disposable, about 250 breaths each, not rechargeable or refillable. Blends include Zen, Sleepy, Focus, Happy, Peace, Relieve, Cozy and seasonal ones such as Pumpkin Spice.
  • +CBD diffusers: the same format with hemp-derived CBD isolate added. MONQ labels them 0.0% THC.
  • MONQ R: a rechargeable battery with a FlipCase and twist-on Blend PODs, each rated at about 200 uses. In October 2026 the PODs offered were CBD blends only.
  • Retro Aroma Inhaler: a classic nasal inhaler with no battery, heat or mist.

How MONQ says to use it

The how-to page describes a four-step method. Remove the cap, draw a slow breath into the mouth for two to three seconds, hold the mist in the mouth briefly, then breathe out slowly through the nose. MONQ calls this retro-nasal inhalation and says the point is to carry the scent past the smell receptors in the nose.

The recommended routine is two to three gentle breaths per session, two to three times a day. MONQ says that at this pace an Original lasts about two months. Someone who uses it more often will go through diffusers faster, so the real monthly cost depends on habits.

There is also a $50 pack of 100 AirTips, a silicone tip that fits over an Original. Squeezing it releases a puff of mist into the air near the face, so the mouthpiece does not touch the lips. In October 2026 the 10-pack of AirTips was shown as sold out.

How to pay less for MONQ

  • Watch the sitewide offer. In October 2026 monq.com showed a buy one, get one 50% off banner that is applied automatically at checkout, with no code needed. On two $30 Originals that would come to $45, or $22.50 each. The site does not spell out whether it stacks with packs that are already discounted, so check the cart total before paying.
  • Buy packs instead of singles. The 5-packs and 10-packs bring an Original to $27.50 each, and the CBD 3-Pack was the cheapest way into +CBD blends at the time of checking.
  • Reach the free shipping line. The shipping policy lists free shipping on orders of $69 or more. Below that, ground shipping is $7 and priority is $14.
  • Pick the cheaper format. If the goal is just the scent, the $10 Retro inhaler or a $25 bottled blend in a room diffuser costs less than a heated device.
  • No subscription. There was no subscribe and save option on the product pages checked, so a recurring discount is not available. Buying packs is the closest thing to a bulk price.

PickedBox does not have a MONQ coupon page. For other aromatherapy gear, the Amazon coupon page lists current Amazon offers.

Where to buy MONQ, and why the seller matters

MONQ sells directly on monq.com and lists authorized stores on its retailer finder. MONQ listings also show up on Amazon and marketplaces such as Etsy, but the Amazon page could not be loaded during checking, so no Amazon price is confirmed here. Third-party listings seen in search results showed prices from $12 to $30 for a single Zen diffuser, which is too wide a range to rely on.

The seller matters because of the guarantee. MONQ's shipping policy says the product should be bought from monq.com or authorized retailers and that a refund or replacement needs a receipt, a monq.com invoice number or other proof of purchase from MONQ, LLC. A cheaper unit from an unknown marketplace seller may not be covered, and there is no way to check how it was stored.

MONQ's 30-day guarantee and return rules

The refund policy offers a refund or exchange within 30 days of the order shipping. The main conditions:

  • Returns must include the original packaging and be postmarked within 30 days of the ship date, with MONQ's returns form inside.
  • Orders totaling $100 or more must come back unused and unopened to qualify for any refund.
  • The customer pays return shipping, and original shipping fees are not refunded.
  • MONQ says refunds start 14 to 21 business days after the return arrives.

The $100 rule is worth noting before buying a large pack to try several blends. A single diffuser or a small set keeps the option to return an opened item.

Fact board: returns within 30 days of shipping, orders of $100 or more must be unopened, buyer pays return shipping, refunds start in 14 to 21 business days.

What the health claims do and do not say

MONQ's product pages describe blends in terms of mood, such as calm, focus or sleep. Its FAQ carries the standard notice that these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and that the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The research on aromatherapy itself is thin. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health aromatherapy page says little rigorous research has been done on aromatherapy for insomnia, and that one study of lemon and lavender scents found a positive effect on mood but no effect on stress markers or pain. No published clinical trial of MONQ devices themselves was found during checking.

MONQ's safety page says the product is for adults 18 and older and should not be used by anyone pregnant or nursing, or by people with asthma, COPD or another lung condition. It also says no CBD product can promise a clean drug test and suggests Originals for anyone subject to drug screening. Anyone with a health condition should ask a doctor or pharmacist before using an inhaled product.

Who MONQ is for

MONQ suits an adult who likes essential oil scents and wants something portable, and who is fine with paying about $27.50 to $30 for a device that lasts weeks rather than months. Someone who wants aromatherapy at home will spend less on a bottle of oil and a room diffuser. Anyone who wants help with anxiety, sleep or pain should see a health professional first, since the product is sold as aromatherapy, not treatment. How we checked this

In October 2026, PickedBox reviewed MONQ's official pages: the product catalog, the FAQ, the how-to page, the safety page, and the refund and shipping policies. Prices were read from monq.com on Oct 17, 2026. The NCCIH aromatherapy page was used for the research summary. Amazon could not be loaded, so no Amazon price is given. No MONQ products were bought or used for this guide.
